At this time there are significant needs for improved housing and other social investments for working families throughout Georgia and specifically in Troup County. While Census Tract 9606 is the only currently designated Federal Opportunity zone in Troup County, many other areas are poised for private investment.
Partnering for Conscientious Social Investment
The LaGrange Housing Authority has worked closely with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and other state, local and federal agencies as well as private companies and organizations such as Kresge Foundation and the Southface Institute to create new developments and improve the existing housing and supporting infrastructure for Troup County residents.
In working with its partners, LHA is committed to the conscientious development of a strong, diversified economy and workforce and to protecting investors by managing developments from inception to completion by making disciplined, data-driven decisions. A responsible, hands-on management team is intensely involved in projects from the earliest discussions to ribbon-cutting, and beyond to ensure intelligent, wise investment in Tax Credit Opportunity programs are truly beneficial to all parties – especially, our residents.
